The world's
Precious metals and antiques,
Though deemed valuable,
Have little true purpose.
A rare treasure
Does not need a grand palace
To reveal its worth.
Even if it rests
In a humble barn,
Its radiance remains undiminished.
Only
The mind's judgment of palace and barn prevents us from seeing
The jewel beyond price.
Let us, then,
Dwell in the inquiry of True Self,
Living a life of substance and meaning.
Not dragged along by thought,
But drawing forth thought with clarity.
Not chased by time but drawing Time forth and using it well.
Thus, may we live out our days with Grace, and a quiet wealth of spirit.

세상의
귀금속 골동품
가치 있다고 하나 용처가 별로 없다.
진귀한 보물이
화려한 궁전에 있어야만
제 가치를 발하는 것이 아니다.
비록
헛간에 있다 해도
그 빛은 하나도 헐해지지 않는다.
다만
궁전과 헛간이라는 분별때문에
무가보의 보배를 보지 못할 뿐이다.
오직
참나 탐구로
가치 있고 실속 있는 삶을 살아보세.
생각에 끄달려 살지 않고
생각을 잡아 끌어내 생각하고
시간에 쫒기며 살지 않고
시간을 잡아 끌어내 쓰는 삶으로
여유 있고 크레딧있는 여생을 살다가세.
